Hmmm didn't get one second power but average over a few seconds better. Damn may have to have another go at this.

It did feel a little slippy over 1200 watts, not sure if that's an issue. It is very cold in garage so maybe wasn't warm enough or something

I'm steering clear of the bird chat as I don't think I want to know 🐔

calling @theboxers - how you doing ? hows the comeback trail
Sorry for the silence . Thanks for thinking of me.:becool:

Been recovering from a collision in my car for the last 5 or so weeks, someone drove into the back of it whilst I was stationary putting my weak back out again . 3 visits to an osteopath seems to have sorted it out.

Back on the bike now trying to recover the lost fitness and lose the gained kilos, way too many, why are they so much easier to put on than take off :cursing:. Good news is that I am still lower than the start of the year by about 6kg currently.

Getting back to normal service and ramping up for the Festive 500 again this year. Good to be back on the bike

Signed up long time ago. This is the first time I'll be racing on a course I did before. Last time the hills killed me, wonder if I learned anything

Strong looking c squad for tomorrow, good luck. Hopefully having at least one rest day will help! Getting to know the courses definitely helps, and after a while you get a feel for when the race is going to ease up and whether you can survive long enough.

@theboxers sorry about the setback but glad you are back in the saddle

Strong looking c squad for tomorrow,
For the first lap

#i've ridden the course but watched several videos of when the difficult section arrives and how much effort is required. My weight is an issue to stay with the pack

It will suit your punchy climbing ability :okay:
We already have 5 or 6 B riders in the race (these are just the ones in ZP), so I'll be wheelsucking for all it's worth again this evening let those B's do all the work, and try to pinch the glory in the final sprint. I think the climbs are more 'long drags', so hopefully as bad as Yorkshire last week.

Not at all mate, I'm with you on this one. Had a recovery stroll today, remembered the conversation here and decided to do a sprint:

Soooo close to the 900 badge

I need to do a few tests at different gears - I'm spinning out at 150rpm and supposedly 120 is optimal for a sprint?
That's really good power! Of course, it's much more important to be able to deploy your power at the right time, and for long enough, to win sprints. Shane Miller (GPLama) does a good feature about the double-peak sprint which he finds most effective in Zwift races.

For the team competition it is essential that everyone finishes as you/we get 1 point for just that. Last week some of you bailed, which means 0 points. We currently hold 2nd position in the C-cat team ranking.
We are never gonna beat DBR in the no. 1 spot, as they have 6 riders every week scoring (multiple) points, but holding on to the 2nd spot would be nice! :okay:
