From one Yorkshire folk to anotherOne INCH??![]()
Im D cat soBit of proper racing and the C team are all licking their wounds!![]()
Did some of them get beat by an asthmatic C cat rider?Actually the B boyz took a good beating too![]()
I understand your dilemmaYes, definietly B numbers tonight on that climb. Yet I still can't win any C races
Can't be long now until I'm promoted by ZP ... any climbing race would do it so I avoid those .... looking at the next league though, I think I'll be buggered pretty quickly!
Thing is, I'm not holding back in any race and you can see that from my heart rate that is over 190. I can sprint at over 10 w/kg early in a race but not at the final sprint. Climbs are different though as it's holding that tempo power that seems easier .... most races though are flat/rolling where I can't get into B numbers hence why I'm still C.I understand your dilemma
I never came close to winning anything in B and was regularly beaten by tommy and Paul
But because of weight , the wkg bumps me into a cat where I stand no chance at all and come last in most races
Simple facts are , if you are holding back and dodging certain races , taunting other riders about their pedestrian speed , blasting out 10wkg when you choose then you should really consider B
You are easy good enough and in my humble opinion will only get better if pushing
Totally understand about the team thing and other teams have ringers in their team but doing the same doesn’t seem right to me
This is not a put down in any way you do whatever you think
Yes, I'd agree. iTT's are hard as nowhere to hide or rest. And if we all start together on TT bikes with no draft, the chasing down of others etc with make it brutal! Those asking for an hour long TT obviously haven't done many TTs recently. You're crazy - an ITT is brutally hard and the last one I did was 28 minutes and I was counting down every 100 metres and begging for the end with more than 10 minutes to go! Having said that, I tend to agree with those who think a 20 minute blast is a bit short for what we had in mind for this series (might be an idea as a "prologue" stage for a future series though?)
The Neokyo route is 25.3km as a meetup (1km more than the "official" segment). I did the shorter 24.3km in 39:30 at 212 watts and soemone I follow did 37 minutes at 245 watts. So I think the one lap should come in at between 30 and 40 minutes for most of us. Personally I think this is enough for an ITT, especially with that cheeky climb included.
So I propose we go for one 25.3km lap of Neokyo All-Nighter - sorry if you think it should be longer but you'll be thanking me next Wednesday night!
Set it up like a bike that fits you and is comfortable.Ya, probs - so might revert back to original saddle height, move saddle forward and see how that goes.
I should never have started to fiddle with it in the first place.
Who said you were doing anything wrong ? I just echoed what others said and commended you on performanceThing is, I'm not holding back in any race and you can see that from my heart rate that is over 190. When I get promoted, I'll go to B. But I'm not doing it just because some people think I should or accuse me of holding back when I'm not. Now can we drop this as I'm doing feck all wrong.
