RGT racing is fun, drafting interface initially much better than zwift (although newer mechanics on zwift seem better).

But not enough people on it, didn't think graphics were great at all. Zwift has plenty of real world climbs as well as artificial ones. Definitely can see why people prefer it, but also why the majority prefer zwift. Wish there was a larger more viable alternative to zwift to drive up standards.

Are any of the other platforms getting any more popular?

I did one race on RGT and that seemed OK, but again not a big field ... more like Bkool or our meetups. I like large leagues in Zwift, and riders who are (mostly) equal when you join a Cat race. Free riding in RGT was (for me) nowhere near as good as Zwift.

Drafting, and the breaking was a nice feature though. Even wit Zwift new algorithm I still think Zwift lacks in this area. But at least that damn sticky draft has gone, so that's one improvement.

I like the Zwift workouts too .. I've tried most platforms now and for me personally Zwift has the best set of workouts. But that will be a very personal thing so others may not agree.

It depends what someone wants, and thankfully there are a good number of platforms out there. But I guess Zwift is the biggest for a reason. Can't see me switching any time soon.

Kind of a catch 22 though isn’t it…

I’m part of the ‘problem’ too so… disgruntled with lots of the stuff on zwift, but too apathetic to change. People vote with their feet as they say. Or with their wallets in this case. But in reality if you want another platform to challenge zwift it’ll only happen if people like us support it.

That's fair. The fact that zwift(power) do have a scoring system that means literally nothing is such a waste

These conversations always lead me to the same conclusion. I just try remind myself to focus on the people around me that push me and I enjoy racing against. Maybe one day zwift make a radical change to their system but really at the moment too many people game the system it’s better not to invest emotion in it.

The F1 was pretty griping in the end.
Both griping and gripping!

What about the start though? shouldn’t of Hamilton had to of given up track position after cutting the corner? Could you argue that either way?

I mean Hamilton must feel completely sick the way it turned out. But can you imagine if they had if let it finish under a safety car? Crazy result but maybe it needed a crazy finish? Dunno…

I dislike redbull somewhat. They have a desperation about the way they carry themselves. But it was unbelievable tv!

I just came 8th on zp (13th on the road) in one of those ‘is it a race, isn’t it a race?’ Mass start events on zwift out of about 650 starters. More importantly I thought the course was ideal for a race in the future. The temples and towers course on the new map.

Ps whatever @bridgy says it definitely was a race!
