@steverob How you feeling after your Moderna today? I'm whacked. Feel tired and like I've got a bad cold coming!!
How’s your arm - mine felt like it had been run over
Sore arm (and even that's not particularly bad - had much worse), but otherwise that's about it. I do feel very sleepy, but that's the same pretty much every morning! I'd say last night's ride took more out of me than the jab.

Just seen this event on Zwift Insider that might interest a few here....

https://zwiftinsider.com/socks4watts-hill-climb/

Hill Climb series on Friday night at 18:45 ( I'll still be cycling home from work 🙄 )...
But looks interesting, you ride the whole route but only your time on the designated KOM counts for your time.

Tomorrow is Leith Hill.

Interesting! The time is a bit early for me but presumably I could join and just take part at quarter past 7 or whenever I want as only the segment counts. I'm guessing it is draftable though so there would be a disadvantage

I guess the same one as last season, was it Burninglegs?

I might be able to Bring back 'nic fug' and another friend. Are we going back to two teams?
I was thinking the flatter courses, we could have quite an impressive sprint team line-up .. although the climbing stages we'd be a bit buggered

Based on numbers last night I can't be far off being upgraded now by ZP, so I might as well go onto the B rota (plus we have a full CCC rota).

On the TT topic, were raw watts important yesterday? Think I had some w/kg more than some opponents on the results screen but ended with a worse time.
It varied. Lee beat me by just over a minute with lower watts but higher w/kg. I also beat Michael by just under a minute with (slightly) lower watts than him but higher w/kg. On the other hand, I beat Tim by 34 seconds with higher watts but lower w/kg 🤷‍♂️

Weight certainly makes *some* difference even on the flat - I was doing 280-300W for the first two miles, but that's only 2.9-3.1 w/kg for me. With that effort I held on to Carl and Bram for about a minute but slowly they crept away, whereas the lead group of B's had disappeared off into the distance within the first few seconds. Then I dropped back to 250-260W for most of the rest of the flat section.

The toughest part of the course for me was once you'd gotten up onto the elevated railway section but before the climb actually started - it was mentally draining to have to do a whole lap and a half of that before the KOM (you even go past the KOM start turn-off once), because at that point I was managing my watts as I was ready to try and attack the climb, but it wasn't coming soon enough!

The first 13km were pretty much flat, and for that section I did 291 watts (3.73w/kg), and Lee did 290 watts (4.53w/kg) and he was 44 seconds ahead. So I wonder if this was simply an advantage of 5cm height difference?
Bike and wheel choice ? 🤷‍♂️ I did ask if we should all have the basic set up as it makes a difference
