Shall I set up a meet-up? @<Tommy> @IrishAl

Or actually if one of you want to as I'm not sure if I'll be back on here before tomorrow?

In not sure a meet up is the best option. I don’t think it allows for late starters (?) or people joining on a whim. Maybe just pick a course and then the others can join the person whose already set off?

I’m easy in terms of route so if you have a preference no problem.

thanks for the heads up! Just started watching it, seem to have upped the production values significantly from last year

Yeah, I was a bit wary of watching. MVP seems to be a really nice huy as well as an awesome athlete.

Joffey and I were gonna do the Neokyo All nighter route on TT bikes to log a time for the TDS - For the times to count we’ll need to do it as a meet-up with race results. I know that doesn’t make the best recipe for a social meet up, but a fine athlete such as yourself would have no bother keeping up and you could even whisper sweet words of encouragement to Joffey as he chases down my time advantage.

I’ve made an eleventh hour decision to try to get the Neokyo Badge Hunt rides done in order before they go offline tomorrow. So it’s stages 2 and 3 tonight and stage 4 tomorrow morning.

I rode on my iPhone this morning so I had no idea how long the stage actually was. I thought that ZwiftPower had said 8km so I went for a long one around the 8.2km mark, wondering why no one was sprinting around me… By the time I crossed the finish line (~9.5km), I’d long since given up!

Ah ok fair enough mate. I am contemplating having a go at the tt stage too tomorrow. But if I do it’ll be in the afternoon. Post hangover and provided I’m not feeling ropey due to the booster. So far so good on that front! 🤞

I’ll just do another spin in the morning I think bud. If anyone fancies that I’ll be aiming to do another hour or hour and a half. Probably around 8:30 ish. But I’m relatively flexible.

I've got a few beers in and plan to watch the boxing so I might have a hangover too so maybe @IrishAl sets a meet up for the morning and if I don't turn up @<Tommy> sets a meet up for the afternoon (both invite me) and hopefully I'll make one of them :laugh:

I'll probably make the morning one all things considered. I have only bought 8 cans so it's an easy night...

What brand of booster did you get Tommy? I had Moderna and it did me in!

I got the Moderna too. But us Peckham boys are probably made of sterner stuff than you Yorkshire lads! 💪💪 😄

To be fair I am feeling a little woozy… But it’s hard to know if it’s the booster, the wine, or a combination of the two.

Urgh, I though I was just going to pootle around Stage 2 but I'm pathologically incapable of doing these events without getting the bit between my teeth and racing them! I got into the second group at the start, then started reeling in the front group and, around half-distance, we made the junction. The course was called Wandering Flats, so I wasn't really expecting the jock-off big hill towards the end, and, though I got tailed off there, I was able to win the sprint from my group of 7. 16th on ZwiftPower and numbers looking a bit better than I thought they might be.

For Stage 3, I set off to ride it as a sprint workout, trying to hit 1000W every minute on the minute. Fortunately it was only 13 sprints, which is the most I've done like this. It's amazing how quickly the time goes in between the efforts! I might try doing this to failure/exhaustion sometime - it's brutal. (I dropped down to 80th place or so at the start, but actually found myself moving up through the field and finished around 55th).
