I've been there quite a while now. Do you remember when they went from the old ceiling of Level 25 to the "new" Level 50? You could select an accelerated collection of XP points (upto where you had got) so that your upgrades and unlocks came along quickly, but mot all at once. Maybe they'll do that again some time.

It's a computer game ..... can't be that difficult adding a bit of code to up the levels to 100, 200, 300 + ..... there must be thousands of zwifters over the 50 level. I'm won't hold me breath though

I did wonder why the bar is permanently grey!

I seem to get XP but no progress on the bar. I thought something might show up - no idea why!

I had aspirations to have a go at the 500.

Unfortunately the wife put pay to this curtailing several days of riding opportunity.

I didn't want to spend 3 hours plus each day trying to catch up the lost distance.

Its bad enough with 40 miles per day to keep pace with the challenge.

I did it a couple of years ago, last year was a washout due to ilnes again.. Not easy. Didn't help that I missed the start and had to catch up.

It is something to aim at to keep the over indulgence in check.

really struggling to get my classic trainer setting right, its ruddy killing me at the recommended resistance for the closest turbo to mine.A pace i would hold outside for a metric century leads to exhaustion after half an hour and although i have no hrm yet i can check it by hand and it feels like im about to explode

I can only imagine but guessing it’s feeling like pedalling through treacle at the moment
The only advice I can offer is either stick with it like it is for a while / change setting to make it slightly easier for a while
Then if you like the general indoor turbo feeling in whatever platform you choose ( some people don’t get on with turbo’ing )
Sell the one you have and put money towards a smart trainer
Guessing there will be quite a few on fleabay in coming weeks
Waste of time if you think you won’t like it but game changer if you do I doubt very much if many of us would stick with it if it felt like what you are doing at the moment
If you think you will go down the smart trainer road and want some advice , there are many peeps on here that will offer an opinion
