Awesome!!

I personally have no problem if you want to set it up Steve - as long as you'll be happy running it (I don't know if you'll be the only one able to set up events for example?)

We should think about club name and stuff - I assume it wouldn't be right for us to use the Cyclechat name for example for copyright reasons?

You've probably seen it but this is a useful article on setting it up https://zwiftinsider.com/create-club/
Happy being the person setting it up as it sounds like you can then assign other people to admin roles as @alex_cycles says.

But you're right in that we should probably have a discussion on here first to check what people think the club name should be, what colour scheme and icon we use, etc. (I know all that can probably be changed afterwards, but nice to get it right first time)

"Splitters CC" or something? (The "CC" having a double meaning of cycling club and Cycle Chat)

Colour scheme of blue and orange like the CC forum?

I think we definitely should have "Splitters" somewhere in the title - after all, it's in the name of this thread and both the B and C ZRL teams use it in their names now.

But I don't think we necessarily need to completely shy away from using the CycleChat name. I agree that if we were to just call it CycleChat and nothing else, then maybe Shaun/mods on here might not like it if they thought we were trying to pass ourselves off as an official club; but having something like "CycleChat Splitters" (or the other way round) I think would make it clear that we are a separate group, just noting that this forum is where we all started from.

Oooh, I like the blue/orange scheme idea. I just realised it will fit my real-life bike

So it's already done? Since when?

This is what the chairman posted

This is of course true, but even on this relatively flat course the groups do split up so you need to be in good form to stay with the big boys at the front.

And looking at mine, yours and Lee's events on Zwiftpower, yours was the slowest of them all, and mine was the fastest! You just managed not to get dropped from the very fastest guys in your event. If you'd done that in my event you'd have been 2 minutes quicker.

So take the credit @<Tommy> :okay:
Exactly. If you’re not in the front group of your event then relative speeds of the front groups in different events is a moot point, isn’t it.

Well that was fun but hard. Stage 3 ZP time: 58:21 @IrishAl https://zwiftpower.com/events.php?zid=2556743 position 121
I took a whole second out of @BurningLegs  (BE VERY AFRAID)

Stayed with my initial group for a lap and a half and then started feeling it so dropped back a bit to the next bunch. Managed to hold 3.0 W/kg though, which was more than stage 1 (2.8 w/kg) so quite pleased with that. A bit too much time yo-yoing in the bunch and more time than I would like not in the double-draft.
A great result considering illness, though! Maybe I need to look over my shoulder a little more!!

Completely agree on both name and colour scheme 👍

I quite like doing the TDZ rides as races with our own league table as we're doing now - I know it's flawed, but being able to do it whenever suits us best is a good thing (like people used to do in Bkool races when you could add bots of people who'd already done it).

When that's over I'd definitely be up for another Tour De Splitters of some sort. Hopefully the club function will have been rolled out to one of us by then and we can finally set up our own races properly too 🤞

Yeah I think it’s ideal too really. It would be nice if we could race more in the same event though.
