How unwieldy do you find them? I’m guessing it’s just a case of getting used to it and feels normal and predictable after a short while??
I found the profile is important too. U shaped seems to be less influenced by wind compared to V shaped aero rims

Or it could be all imagination :okay:

Not good enough - I expect a full and comprehensive review within 5 minutes of the product arriving along with an unboxing video

Video to follow.... @Joffey 🤣

Wow that would have been a disaster. I definitely wouldn't want to have to repeat that stage again.
Yes, I did a screenshot just after that, just to have some proof for this "league" if the power would cut again.
Actually I didn't find the route too bad. Both Box and Fox are doable for me, as they have no really steep parts. Actually the 2 times up the escalator was worse. Supertucking down them wasn't really succesful.

I probably went too hard at the beginning, despite telling myself not to. I didn't feel too well going into the shed, but gave it a shot.
My son has been sick most of this week, and the missus these last 2 days and on top of that my daughter tested positive for C-19 yesterday. So I'm probably gonna get some form of sickness within the next couple of days, which is why I did complete the stage, despite not really wanting to... Still a couple of stages to go, and I still need to do stage 1 as well, so don't really have time to be sick and have to do 3 stages in the make up days.

One of the reasons why I use a laptop to run Zwift. If things go left field there's always the battery.

Doesn't help if the internet goes away. The router etc. is on the same mains outlet as my bike computer, so if one goes, so does the other!

I had a few moments like that. Thankfully there was usually another group not so very far behind. Sometimes (but not always) I could even latch on in time.
Most of them just ploughed through me, and I didn't really try to latch on, as I was about to just give up. But later a group came by, travelling at around 2.5 w/kg, which meant I could stay on without too much effort. :okay: And when I hit the hills and surprisingly felt OK at a steady 3 wkg, I just continued!

I run a UPS for all the vital devices in case of power outage. They also have built in surge protection. I usually leave the fans separate to give an obvious clue to loss of power.

Re the climbs, long hills. will never be my strong point.

The escalator, no problem, I can punch 500-900W for short periods. A rare occasion where I can match the lighter riders

Nooooo .... you have covid, or you're in isolation?

I had a head cold from last weekend through the week. I think I managed to bluff the race of Tuesday because there weren’t any major hills. But maybe have the cold knocked my natural immunity levels (?). Don’t know if there’s any logic to that…

I’m pretty rough though to be honest. I’ve got the cough, the temperature and a bit of a headache too. Flatulance also seems to have risen to a level where I can’t blame the dog anymore, so not a good day all round!

There is a degree of adjusting to it. You kind of get used to anticipating changes in the wind. But if you get exposed in cross winds it can be sketchy. I wouldn’t fancy discending a mountain on deep rims. But like andy says the rim shape matter too. I have 60mm rims that feel more ‘stable’ than a v shaped set of 50mm I have.

Sorry to hear that mate - take it easy and hopefully you'll start to feel a bit better soon
