Don’t know why people dislike Nadal. I think he’s the epitome of a never know when he’s beat fighter. Is it because a lot of people are either a nadal or a federer guy?

I like him, but he's hard to watch because he's so twitchy with all his pre-point rituals.
Medvedev is a nob.
So is Novax. It will be interesting to see if the investigation into his potentially fraudulent documents goes anywhere. He's a brilliant tennis player though.

I think for me there is a q mark over a recent period of Spanish sporting success of which he is a part. Lots of accusations but nothing ever proved. To his credit he has taken time out, fixed his knee ( ^_^ )and re modeled his physique and approach and fair play to him for that. He would be a fool , IF he had doped previously, to be doing it now so I assume any success he has now is down to being a supreme athlete with quite astonishing technique and skills. Q marks still remain though-unlike with Federer. And to put things in perspective I actually normally like Djokavic. Apart from his recent foolishness.

@IrishAl 1:25:02 for TdZ Stage 6 please.

My training discipline deserted me today. I was supposed to be doing a 2.5 hr steady endurance ride at 170-190W. I did an hours riding before the stage at about that power and started the TdZ steady, but then I couldn't help myself pushing on. Half way up Fox Hill I thought b#gger it and pushed hard - and did my 2nd best time up Box Hill to finish off.

Time for a telling off from Mr. Coach :surrender:

There's something about all those other riders/targets on Zwift that makes it almost impossible to do anything other than "smash it"

You'll probably now be sentenced to a week of solo meetup workouts with other riders set to invisible

Yeah Zwift often does make me work harder than planned but I've been very restrained lately.

This was a build week and is the last day - 2 days off now on Monday and Tuesday to recover.

We are in the middle of a storm right now, and the light in the shed went out for a split second with 2.5kms to go. Luckily the router/computer didn't crash! :okay:
Not for sure was it same storm than in Denmark but heavy snow storm reached the Finlands coast earlier yesterday. Here the storm wasn't bad as it was southern Finland but approx last 24hrs here was snowing about 40cm. I had nightshift + lot of snow works so i didn't even try to ride with bike in this weekend. Need to think will i ride stage-7 tomorrow or Wednesday.

Mrs Legs and I talked earlier about clearing out the outbuilding to make way for the Zwifting den… There’s talk of a TV screen HDMI’d to the laptop and all!

No snow here, actually around 6-9 degrees this weekend, which would be fine for a spin outside. But with avg. wind speed at 25+ meters pr. second and gusts of 35-40 mps, I stayed indoor! We had a BBQ grill tumble, that was all. The neighbours greenhouse however, is no more. I could see and hear them cutting the remains this afternoon…

She’s feeling quite philanthropic because she’s got a new job at work (something like Global Product Strategy Goddess, at JCB) but also because of the 20 years of love and dedication I’ve given her!

I’m also planning on a GBFO subwoofer for blasting Shepherd Moons on loop… 🤣

Do you have a raw sketch on a paper already how your new pain cave is gonna look?. Actually that pain cave sounds more like a pleasure cave when it see day light. Neo 2T cobblestones and subwoofer, that would give new dimensions to indoor training.

That is the essence of cycling fitness, especially racing fitness. The ability to go deep then recover over and over.
This ....

This is what my body had learned to do the past year or so on Zwift. I used to 'cruise', and try to keep a standard power, but got me nowhere. I've now learned to surge and recover, and this in Zwift (and I assume in real world races) helps to hang on to groups longer etc
