And all of that for free! Good jobgave the turbo a clean , took the covers off and lubed inside including the tension spring and it seemed to make the reading more in line with what i expect around 3.5 w/kg

Not sure about the 'make believe' part of it. I know some people, especially seasoned cyclists may slightly look down on virtual riding but my experience so far is that it's actually harderonly a 50 min session today about 3- 3.4 ,legs tired after 192 miles and 16000 feet of climbing this week , i know its all make believe but its still more pedalling than i would do in a normal week![]()

Like riding a bicycleMy outdoor technique took only 10 mins to rediscover
^^^^^^^It will be intersting , not rode outside since last november
That gives a lifetime tinnitus.
And yet my outdoor FTP would probably be way lower than my indoor one - I’ve never actually measured it as I don’t have a power meter on my outdoor bike and so have to rely on Strava’s estimated figures (not sure how accurate they are). When I first got my turbo back in May last year, my indoor FTP was about 30% lower than outdoor (which I checked and is a known thing). They do say it adjusts as you get used to indoor.
Peeps - on the issue of real life riding - I need a bit of help with a purchase. From time to time I'll be using some shared spaces, e.g. York Racecourse for some of my easy/recovery sessions. Can someone recommend me a bell that works with a road bike? Ideally installed so that I can operate it while on the hoods.
