There was a tree down on my line into work apparently, thankfully my train was already past that spot when it happened. Although admittedly I did take an earlier train than usual anyway cause the TOC had already said it would be a) a reduced schedule and b) trains limited to 50mph, so figured I'd get to work late if I left at my usual time.
Writing off any chance of outdoor cycling this weekend, but that's more cause of rain than wind. But that does leave me with only one weekend to do a 50km ride for the February monthly challenge and if the weather's bad for that, I'm just going to have to deal with it.

I was out on the bike this morning. Don’t know what all the fuss is about…
That reminds me of when I did the CycleChat Imperial Century a Month Challenge. I'd left the March one late and the weather was pretty rubbish. I put it off and off, and then got to the last weekend day so I had to go out. It was very cold, heavy rain and blowing a hooly.
I manned up (probably wouldn't these days) and headed 50 miles directly into the wind then turned round and came back. It was pretty satisfying afterwards - but pretty horrendous during it
Edit - checked Strava and some of the details were slightly wrong. Funny old thing memory. Now corrected.

Same here Paul, power keeps going off and on. But only for a few minutes at a time. Thankfully trees have no leaves on so that should save a few from being brought down.
I'm a fellow shorty too, at 5ft 7Me and @berty bassett at least don't have to worry about low flying garden furniture
