You'll be fine Carl, taking off from Bristol isn't the problem, it's the landing which is tricky....
I used to work with a guy who was a trolley dolly for Ryanair and apparently Bristol Airport is the second most difficult place to land in Europe due to its location and the crosswinds.
Hope you have a good trip....
This height thing reminds me of a thing we used to do at University when on football or rugby tours/games.
One of us would go into a busy bar and order a pint and seven halfs of beer. We'd get a funny look as they were being poured - and then our guy would shout at the top of his voice "Hi HO", wait 10 seconds and then shout it again even louder - then the door would open and seven of us would come in on our knees singing Hi ho, hi ho it's off to work we go etc......, shuffle up to the bar, get passed our halfs, drink them and then all shuffle out on our knees singing the song again.

The old Hong Kong airport was pretty hairy. As you came in to land you could literally see inside people's apartments.
