Well I'd say that mine wasn't an excuse per se, more a warning to those thinking of skipping the stage, that my time +2 mins would be the one they'd be lumbered with!

I really have no idea how long tomorrow is going to take. Because the Strava segment starts at the banner, you miss it if you come out of the pens, so most of the people on here who have done the course, either did it not in a race so their listed time might not be all that fast, or like me they haven't matched the segment at all even though they do have the badge on Zwift.
Plenty of people did it as part of the TdZ (Stage 7) - that included the lead-in but it was only about 100m :okay:

[EDIT] Average time was ~50 min. for the whole thing.

We did the UCI Worlds Harrogate course in the last TDS - it's the same roads but in a slightly different order! The route tomorrow is 27.7km and that same distance in that stage on the last TDS took me about 45 minutes, if that helps at all?

That sounds like an excuse for an excuse to me 🤔

I might ride the course later in the week to see if I can get within the 2 minute penalty time of Tuesday nights lantern rouge... :okay:

I was pondering this question earlier and not figured it out yet...

How will we get the times for the TT section of the TdS? There won't be any race results or ZP. Is there a Strava segment or something? Or will we have to just look at the time as we cross the arch? Or try to take a screenshot at the right moment without screwing it up?

(Edit to add - there is a Strava segment - might be a good bet?)

Last time, most of us did the TT together, but the few who couldn't, set up their own meetups. As long as you tick the options for Meetup-Only View and Show Race Results, then you'll be shown a leaderboard once you cross the line, which you can screenshot and post on here as evidence. Plus those results stay visible in the Companion app afterwards as well if you forget.

Also note that Zwift can sometimes add on 1km or so to the race distance on a meetup, so you have to make sure you go through the finish line they set, not just the lap banner. But the Strava segment would work just as well if that's easier for people.

Of course. I'd missed that you can "show race results" in a meetup. :okay: (Good way of being 1st in a solo meetup )

I've been a good boy pre carb loading ready for tomorrow night, I've had biscuits, prawn crackers and some chocolate and most importantly a few fig rolls.
Bring on tomorrow :boxing:

Can't believe no one's made a recon video with printable course notes etc. for tonight's race :headshake:

Having said that there's only one tactical option for me - hang on to @berty bassett 's wheel for as long as possible!
Everyone in C has a target on their back from my perspective. But especially @alex_cycles and @Breedon as I never rode with them before. Hoping @IrishAl won't be too fresh too ^_^
