No, we took the time on the leaderboard shown at the end of the race (remember to tick the "Race Results" box when setting up your meetup folks!)

Note that the default meetup on R.G.V. starts you just after the exit from the pens, but the blue transparent finish line appears about 50 metres before the Marina Sprint banner for some reason.
Might be best to use the Strava segment? As we know, meetups are notoriously rubbish for having a consistent start/finish distance from one rider to the next. Also, I was thinking we still might have enough people to do a club race some time that week if we can find a timeslot that suits enough people (with anyone who can't make it doing it as a meetup in their own time), and that for sure would be a different distance to a meetup

As I think Al is still away, here's the GC standings as far as I can tell (with added iTT results so far) :

The meetups do have a consistent distance, it's just that the start and finish can be in slightly different locations - e.g. if your start is 10 metres ahead of mine, your finish will also be 10 metres ahead. Terrible for a race, but perfectly fine for a TT.

EDIT - if you do decide that the Strava segment is the way to go however, my time for that was 38:58, Al's was 37:42.

OK fair enough - but the meetup distance is different to what a proper race using the club ride function would be, so we will have to use an old fashioned meetup for a group ITT race in that case then - either that or use the strava segment

I'll probably give the iTT a miss .... don't really fancy doing that on my own, a bit boring. I'll just stick to the 4 stages .... and try to work out how the hell I get 18 seconds back off Rich

Yeah I'm not chasing the goats! It'll be interesting if everyone's alone on the descent or any groups form

I’ve actually won on this course (or maybe very similar course with same climb) after not cresting first. I think the descent is long and steep enough where you can gain a load back. Especially if you crest in a group and work together going down. The run off at the bottom is deceptively long too.

With this stage and the TT left it kind of has a Tour de France feel with the possibility of places and scalps being taken. The fact that there’s no money is involved is irrelevant when so much middle age pride is at stake!

I’m very interested to see how the B teamers fair so close to the new WRTL :boxing:
