Hadn't really even clocked the squirrels. Are they grey or red, that'll help me decide how annoyed I'll be.

Finally got second upgrade on sl8, slow business for me! I understand it's only the first 3 that provide performance upgrades, it's xp and drops upgrades after that, which I'm not that bothered about but will accrue in due time. Might switch to aethos for my longer rides and do some climbing to get it upgraded a bit next.

Not that bothered about the order.

I think I'm about 150k away from the final upgrade on the Dogma. Will probably do the Aethos next as it must be a good climber.

That's true but I don't give a rats about the Halos. To fully upgrade a Halo bike you need to fully upgrade three bikes of that mfr AND have ten million drops.

I'm really only interested in upgrading the bikes I want to use for racing (for the time being).

But everyone has different motives and ideas. It's good to have goals to chase. I think I'm about 32% 37% of the way towards the first level of the lightning socks now.

it depends on the bike type. for the SL8, all five are performance upgrades.

There's different levels to the socks? I must be about 50% in the factory tour thing. Once you reach the end, does it have another stage? Kind of like the Tron bike?

Pretty sure the first level of socks gives a sparks effect and some sort of small performance gain and the second level gives you an aero boost?

First part is 250 and second part is 850, which I calculated would be more than a year's worth of Zwifting effort.

Same. 7 + years on Zwift and still not seen bigfoot.

I rode up and down the grade today on the SL8 specialized. I thought this descent was quite slow, only hitting 81kph. I'm sure the Tron took me over 90kph. I'll have to find an event I recorded to see.

I think the most recent time I've done the Grade was in the nasty mountain Radio Rendezvous DRS race.
That would have been on the SL8 with level 1, I think.
Having worked hard to get points on the two climb segments before that descent, though, I don't think I sprinted into it.

Topped out at 79, but there was no real effort to go fast at the start. I just wanted to rest

Was it outside of an event as the supertuck isn't as good when not in a race

What level SL8 have you got and what wheels were you using?
I've just remembered I was using the Zipp 454 in that race and they are crap for aero. I was drafting so didn't get into a tuck there.

Just checked and old video I hit 93kph on the Tron compared to 81 on the sl8

Also what wheels? ZI doesn't publish descending test data.

Although I think his data does suggest the Tron is a marginally better bike than the unupgraded SL8 on flat routes. So it WOULD be on downhills too.

I've got no upgrades yet on the SL8. 10kph is huge. I thought it was feeling slow compared to the tron
