Very quiet in here! I managed to hurt my foot quite badly in a complex sports injury kicked a doorframe with my bare foot at full whack booting a sock so haven't been in or outdoors in a bit. Guessing most people are getting some real miles in?

Been busy, driving instructor for daughter.

Signed up for a race tomorrow morning stage1 of some new series

Ouch sounds painful 🤕 🦶

Been at gym most days, not been on the bike. Planning an outside ride tomorrow although went for a little jog earlier and my calf is playing up again (same area as I popped a couple of years ago so I'm a little nervous).

Hope your foot gets better soon

Outdoor mostly here too. I did pop on Zwift for a session last Monday though because it fitted better with my day.

My annual subs renews in a few days. I decided it was worth it since I'd done 115 races in the previous 12 months. I am enjoying a break from racing and a chance to add tiles to my VeloViewer collection though.

I rode with the BMCC (local club) B ride yesterday. We did 62 miles at 18.5 mph. I think that's about the same pace the A ride was doing when I rode with them 3 summers ago.

Having recently adjusted my FTP down to 224, that gave me 232 TSS, which may be slightly high, but not by too much. I won't be riding today

Ouch…one of the worst sporting injuries you can get especially if you caught the little toe…I hope you rolled around the floor for a couple of minutes feigning agony until someone noticed.

Real miles for me too. Friday’s spin was to my parents house, taking the long scenic route, which most of it you will know. Taking wrong turns trying to get through Belfast docks / Sailorstown area was the most annoying part, and hitting the only significant climbing at 90 miles almost beat me 🥵

I’ve only had to turn to MyWhoosh once in the last 8 weeks or so. Long may the fine weather continue!

I'm enjoying my longest break from using the turbo since three years ago, when I always used to stop indoor cycling Apr-Nov unless we had some rainy days, the new ebike is getting me out most days even if I feel rough. Using custom max assistance for each level (so 100/175/250W) is helping, funnily enough.

I did the Isle of Wight Randonnee with my eldest son (by far the longest ride he's done) on the bank holiday weekend - brought back good memories of the Cyclechat trip we did there a few years ago when we rode the course but not on the official event day.

Around 3,000 people do it, but as everyone goes clockwise, and can start at pretty much any time from any of the 5 checkpoints it never seems anything like as busy as that, which is good. The ferry was taken over by cyclists though!

I did it with a cold which started the night before which possibly wasn't the best idea because I was wiped out with that cold for the rest of the week and only got out again on Sunday!

Definitely want to make the most of the good weather and get out on the road, but will probably still be on Zwift regularly (now I'm better!) just for convenience

Back outdoors now enjoying the good weather, I did have my most intense winter so far on the turbo, my ZRS is at 430 and zftp at 285w, I never envisaged attaining these figures and hopefully they will go down by the end of the summer, I peaked at the beginning of March, its been downhill since, with sciatica not helping, but enjoying steady sunny rides.
