If any Ds are looking for a team for Tuesday WTRL races, 7pm UK time, our dirt team needs riders. A few of us have been silly and got ourselves promoted to C so the D teams are shout.

Great bunch of gals and girls. Proper team spirit. Highly recommend 👍

Yeah, and further exacerbated by the flurry of Burritos just after you crest the climb (nice one WTRL organisers!) making it even harder to re-attach to the group if you're struggling!

Lots of swearing by our guys when that happened 🤣

I binned my burrito every lap because (apart from the last lap when I knew that there was no-one behind me), I didn't want to do any 'friendly fire'! I quite enjoyed the chaos caused by other people letting off their burritos, though.

I like that PU in a sprint if I don’t have the aero. Get to the front, drop it and see the chasers drop back 🤣

Rode with this pace rider when I started back up again 2 weeks ago and lasted 6 minutes before I had to find a slower rider. Tonight I managed 75 mins. Could have gone a bit longer apart from cramp was starting to set in on my left calf.

Definitely picking up some fitness. May try the step up to a C pacer when I ride again Sunday.

Possibly looking to get back into zwift racing /wtrl for the next round as the weather turns . I've not been paying much attention to wtrl . How does the development teams work ? What are the boundaries for deciding wether your in the top tier of you Cat or a development rider .

This page is quite helpful https://www.wtrl.racing/zwift-racing-league/resources/

If you want to race in full C (rather than dev) and you like to race at 11am my team struggled this season to get 6 riders out each time so are looking for extras.

But in case you can't see it...

For w/kg, I think you need to divide by the weight you were when you set those numbers (in the last 90 days) rather than your current weight. If your weight hasn't changed much recently then that's easy, but it can affect you if your weight fluctuates and you're borderline on power.

Both myself and Carl will be racing for DIRT in developmental C next round with any luck, so if you're below 3.08 ZFTP and 3.68 ZMAP, then you're very welcome to join us.

I presume watts ÷ weight for Zmap makes mine 3.5 and zftp 2.8 so I presume I'm in development cat . I prefer to race in a Cat where I feel competitive rather than just riding round to pick up finish points in a higher level .

Yes you seem to fit in C dev as long as those are your real numbers at the moment.

As regards your comment about finish points, things are VERY different now. It's much more like how SBP was supposed to be (if you remember that).

Every segment has FAL points for EVERY position. So if you have 50 riders in the race. 1st gets 50, last gets 1 and everything in between.
So for 10th place you'd get 41, 40th place would be 11. So wherever you are you have something to play for.

FTS is almost worthless now. So the days of people rolling round the back smashing the sprints are gone.
(10,8,6,4,2 points for the top 5)

FIN points are the same as FAL points but you get them at the finish. So it's worth trying to outsprint your group.
