If your of a paranoid mindset Alex you might think me and Michael were teamed up against you in race 2 🤫🤫
But honestly it's just how the race worked out 😁. Michael did encourage me to hop on when he closed the gap without you but the rest wasn't planned honest 😁. I knew if it went to a sprint what the result would be so I had nothing to lose and was hoping to get a gap and you and Michael just watch one another and me to hold on, optimistic but better than my chance in a sprint
Race 1 I just use as a power test best 2mins today and averaged of 298w so trying for 300 next time

Haha I deliberately let you go on that uphill sprint, knowing we would catch back but I also knew I would have to watch Michael. I probably left it a couple of seconds too long before ramping up to catch you.
Carl always used to tell me that Michael was the master drafter. It amused me quite a lot that we were both trying to sit in and let you dictate the pace. Pair of lazy b'stards  But Michael knew he could beat me in a sprint and I knew I could have you in a sprint. So it was nice we had a bit of action in the middle. You seem to have improved your punchiness though. In times gone by I would have dropped you at the underpass.

Yes punch and recover is my weakness but it is improving . I'm just better at a longer sustained effort

Did 45 minutes with Coco yesterday morning (felt a bit gassed towards the end), and another 60 minutes today (felt okay at the end). Definitely not up for racing yet, but my New Year weigh-in wasn’t too discouraging (75.5kg, down from 78kg in mid-December).

I’ve now got time on Tuesday evenings to do 10-mile runs with the Uttoxeter Road Runners

Haha I was thinking you two might have tried to work together so hence I tried to pull you away from Alex. Was a good fun tactical race. As you say Alex I did just try and preserve watts for the most part to see how the sprint is. Glad the two races were flat today as the Christmas weight has finally been added to my zwift account.

I was pretty you and Alex didn't need to team up to beat me 😂

Another hour with Coco this morning, while watching Only Connect and learning Welsh on Duolingo.
