Oh man, I have no top-end power! I managed to hold about 480W for a minute, then slid and was barely managing 300W at the end. I'll start interval training again in a couple of months...

We're still going every week in Feb as well. I try to mix up the routes a bit. Last week we did Hilly KoM. You would have liked that one :laugh:

Did the new course in New York yesterday, Empire Elevation, never had my cycling Vo2 max this high before, not bad at 73 years old.

I think a rest day is in order ,yesterday I did Alex's Friday smash races in the morning then got called in as a last minute reserve to my first club ladder race in the evening . I was surprised how well I went in the evening . Managed 6th place out sprinting one of 2 riders from the other team I found myself with after getting dropped by the lead pack as we crested the zwift Kom . Team won 28 26 so a good night

Recovery from teh asthma incident is getting there but I think I'm still a week at least away from being able to race again.My peak flow is still only around 650 rather than closer to 775. Not sure if this incident (and racing when I was ill) has damaged my lungs, whether I'm still recovering and will get back to 775 or whether it's just the lingering cold that is holding my lungs back. I'm really hoping it's not actual damage :wacko:
I'm managing Z2 rides with some coughing but this is getting better. I hit a few Z3 zones yesterday to test the lungs and that did create more lung issues so I pulled back
I'm assuming I'm losing some fitness, HIIT fitness anyway, whilst I'm sticking to Z2 but hopefully that will come back quickly once I get into a few race.
One positive though is my illness took appetite away, and the Z2 is burning calories, so I've dropped a smidge weight so every little helps haha

I was messing around on companion app last night and I saw that you were Zwifting again Phil and I thought what the hell is he doing? Wasn’t this morning enough? :laugh:

Randomly got my best 10 minute power ever today having not touched any PBS in well over a year. Nice random lift In a race I got destroyed in 🤣. Pb up box hill too
