I once saw a video clip of two hyenas having a tug of war with a honey badger. After they were worn out trying to kill it. They let go and it set about them. Sure the badger took a beating, but it still had the fight to take them on instead of running away

Yeah, but leopards are sneaky bastards. I saw one stealth away with a whole dead impala from right under the noses of multiple other predators (who were the ones who made the kill) while they were fighting amongst themselves over who got the spoils. By the time they’d realised what had happened, the leopard had dragged the carcass up a tree and they were left circling it at the bottom and all they could do was wait for scraps to fall.

Like all the "fast men", I bet they're good at drafting all the way through the race then coming round in the last 200 without having done any work.

Got my lady arse handed to me on Alex's innsbruck course by Phil and Alex. Couldn't match 7-8kWkg up the leg-snapper. Alex got a new PB of 54 secs

Good fun though 👍. I knew Alex would kill us 2nd time up the leg snapper . Going over the top I was still worried you'd catch me so I worked hard all the way to the finish . 1st time up the kicker I foolish tried to stay with Alex and blew near the top the 2nd effort was a bit more controlled and both climbs were exactly the same time .

I had a plan at the start not to go too hard up the kicker 1st time to save energy presuming Alex would wait over the top to make a race of it , I got a bit excited and the plan went out the window 😂

I was gassed , had nothing left to put in an effort to chase you Phil.

My excuse I was still in shock from doctors, they nearly took an arm full.

And I did squats yesterday, so hobbling a bit 🎻 🎻 🎻

New since the last one expired. Pretty sure I've done the snapper in 46 before in a drafting race (DRS?) but I couldn't do that now.
(Looked it up. 45.37, 548W, 8.2 w/kg in DRS Summer of Champions June 2024 - I've been on a long slow slide downwards since October that year, just about on the way back up now )

You know me too well. I would have In a small race like this I don't see the point in tearing off the front for 3/4 of the race.

I do like a little fun. I said to the video just before we turned right on lap 1 "I'm gonna scare the shoot out of them now" and then sprinted and stopped. It was always going to be a bluff, but people always accelerate there in races, so I thought it would be funny.

Then there's the banners. Great big pissing contest right there.
