Sure it has been covered before and apologies if this isn’t the thread for this but..
Treated myself to a wahoo kickr with Zwift cog and play. Primarily so I can get into Zwift rides after the summer.

can anyone point me in the direction of a good YouTube video or guide that will tell me all I need to know about getting set up on Zwift and racing?

I’ve searched online but just too much choice!

Welcome! Zwiftinsider is a good starting point with lots of resources

https://zwiftinsider.com/how-to-race/

I'm not actually sure about the best YouTube videos. Gcn had ones but they are surely a bit old at this stage

As Michael said, ZwiftInsider is a great source.
Enjoy the pain

Ours ended up being wall to wall pain! Was hoping for a nice chill start but one guy attacked the downhill and stayed away for ages putting out 5w/kg for over 5 mins despite a strong chase. 1st in FAL seemed a poor return for someone clearly stronger than the field, I think he ended up 14th overall. This was from the team that dominated the ttr. Again they had another rider break away at the end but other teams played the segments smarter and took the team win.

Course should have suited me but bit disappointed, scored in all segments but best was 2nd fts and was gassed at the end finishing 20th on the road, Paul a few ahead. Strong league

The sprints were hard but thankfully the run in to the first sprint wasn't too bad. I was at about FTP, but at 2.5 w/kg that's not too hard for a C race lol
I had the Green jersey from the first race so I had to work to keep it this week given a much stronger sprinter from another DIRT team was racing.
I won the FAL sprint, with my tried and tested tactic of going early and making it a 45 second sprint :boxing: I think I caught the others sprinters out and I made it to the line in 1st.
The next FTS I went from the back of the pack and thought I'd taken the win, but the strong sprinter used my draft all the way and pipped me into second.
Sprint 3 was a mega lead out by @steverob - we started from the back and he cranked it up to sprint pace as we hit the start banner. Unfortunately my legs gave up just short of the finish but Steve flew on and took second place (the strong sprinter again nabbed 1st as he surfed our wheels).

As a team we came 3rd on the night.

I rolled in 22nd but with prime points placed 8th (Steve podiumed 2nd 🏅

I honestly can't believe that I did as well as that. 3rd across the line (ruining the Mojo's attempt to claim the top four spots; they got 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th!) and with my sprint points added, ended up second overall.

I knew in advance I was not going to contest the FAL and while I had thoughts of doing the first FTS, I started my attempt too early and was already at the front of the pack when we crossed the start line, so I backed off and saved my powerup for the second FTS in an all or nothing attempt, which it turned out was the right decision.

Then when the Mojo's launched a full team attack with 2km to go, I decided not to try to chase but instead to TT it to the finish at about 3.5 w/kg with the aim of reeling in as many of the other riders who had tried and failed to catch them with a sprint and now had tired legs. And amazingly that left me perfectly placed in 6th with 500 metres to go and from there I pushed hard and just stole 3rd.

15:55 to watch Carl's FAL win (he's the dot disappearing off into the distance!)
32:20 to watch the 2nd FTS sprint
44:00 to watch the attack from 2km out and my slow but steady chase back on
