Hmm, I think I am going to buy a Bkool Pro Trainer now. Sorry - I think I am defecting.

I think I can get a very good deal on the Bkool Trainer, so it would only be £20 more than the Vortex at Wiggle. Also, it comes with the Ant+ dongle, so less expense there too.

Anyway, thank you for all of your input, which has educated me a bit as to what kit I need and a general idea of how these things will work.

I have the cheaper Tacx T2240 Flow with Zwift. Works perfectly and managed to get it for £140 in a sale at Halfords.

I started Zwift with a standard trainer. It worked ok but I found the deal and paid the extra. Didn't want to go crazy on spend as this is going to be claimed back from the third party as I'm still not supposed to be riding on the road after breaking my spine last year.
