62 last week. First bike at age 8, cycled a lot until age 30, daily commuter, then kids, time pressure, got more into motorbikes, but always had a bike in the shed. Started cycling again properly last year and can't get enough of it. As @midlife says, trying to roll back the years a bit.
Me to I'm a mere youngster at 52, really a baby in cycling years as I only started at 48.
Don't call my cycling a sport, though, I'm the least sporty person ever, cycling is for going places!
This is the magic: I used to be younger. I had to learn to ride a bike which was not easy on the available hardware.
I got THE BIKE when I was 15 with my mums help, and this is the age I feel now with the wind in my face and the
$4000 worth of carbon bicycle between my legs.
