62 last week. First bike at age 8, cycled a lot until age 30, daily commuter, then kids, time pressure, got more into motorbikes, but always had a bike in the shed. Started cycling again properly last year and can't get enough of it. As @midlife says, trying to roll back the years a bit.

This is the magic: I used to be younger. I had to learn to ride a bike which was not easy on the available hardware.
I got THE BIKE when I was 15 with my mums help, and this is the age I feel now with the wind in my face and the
$4000 worth of carbon bicycle between my legs.

53 and although I'm less than a year and a half from being a retiree, I feel far from old.... Sometimes !

Yes - I am on one hand heartened to hear that so many 'oldies' are still out and about yet on the other hand I am dismayed...

... I thought all the amazing long rides and super quick speeds, that make my rides look pitiful, were being posted on here by young whippersnappers.
