Lbs it is then, and if they can't do it a less than local one! I think there may be corrosion on the rivets hence them braking but the carbon looks OK around the hole. It's possible that it may be the amount of sweat that has caused the issues using the trainer. Maybe I should change the name to Sweaty Daddy Pig!

you don't know how much I sweat especially on the uphill's!.... squealing all the way to the top!

I'm usually on the trainer hence sweating a bucket load (the trainer adjusts resistance for the hills). Realising that the central heating had gone on didn't help though!

Acetone dissolves a lot of plastics. I'd be very wary of letting it contact a carbon fibre frame, as I don't know what the plastic surrounding the fibres is.

Acetone is more benign than you think. Name the plastics that it dissolves.

Further, acetone has no effect on carbon or resin. None. Nada. Ziltch. Squat.

Just to let you know that the bike is all fixed... epoxy and a rivet gun have done the job and I have treated the bike to some dura ace brake cables to keep the old girl happy!
