Also water cannon used when rioters get togther and start building barricades etc.
That seems to shift them (horizontally) sharpish.

Thinking of anyone who is affected by these barbarians, stay safe.

Unfortunately that's the kind of stuff they tried/ are trying in Egypt, Syria, Burma etc. So whilst it sounds like a good idea on the surface, it's not the kind of thing I would like to see happen here.

I would like to see the Police respond a bit more robustly though, I fear that if they don't then individuals might take it upon themselves to protect their property and deaths could follow.

Traffic is at a standstill from Stockwell to Clapham/Brixton. I think Brixton is still half-closed due to rioting.

Fortunately, I managed to whizz past on my bike! I find it all very disturbing though. I also saw 4 police vans in "formation", sirens blazing, bombing out of Vauxhall Cross towards the Oval at abou 17.20...

Thank goodness I decided to take the scenic route home today. I can report all was quiet in Fulham, Putney and Richmond Park

100% right. These 'poor' people wih designer hoodies/mobiles/trainers and better bikes than I have. Absolute scum. Simply warn that anyone left in a certain radius in 5 minutes gets f*cking shot. End of. Liberalism IS the true cancer of society.

Not a fire engine in sight.
