Maybe, if I ever join CTC for other reasons. Until then, I'm more interested in non-Fridays rides like this, but my local group has now announced a ride for the morning after so I'm unlikely to make this one.

Before you get round to writing that list, take me off it, with regret....I'm down for overtime on the 12th, and I'm already missing out on some overtime because of nights out this weekend and that one (gig on the 13th), plus I need to fit a century ride in at some point. Fingers crossed weather is favourable for the night!

Theoretical question, slightly disconnected from this thread. If I have a rail network card that expires on Friday 6th, and I buy my ticket to Cambridge with it before then, is the discounted ticket still valid on the day we travel?

No

Although if you're travelling on the same train as someone who does have a network rail card (and obviously sitting next to them if tickets do get inspected), then you'll be OK.

You need a valid railcard along with the ticket when you are actually travelling
