Time to check who's still coming tomorrow.
Been doing a bit of weighing up of pros and cons.

Pros:
CC Ecosse Rides are easily the highlight of my cycling calendar
I'm always keen to go to new places on the bike
I like to test myself on climbs (even if I fail badly)
I really like the look of this route and really want to do it.

Cons:
I have a family occasion to attend at some point tomorrow, I don't think I would get back to Glasgow before 6pm which would leave it too late for me to realistically attend
We have a lot of preparation to do for next week's holiday
SWMBO said "do it if you want" with a mildly threatening undertone
Knee is still giving me some minor discomfort
I am dreadfully slow at climbing and would hold you all back

On the balance of it, it doesn't look like I'll be in attendance

Have a great ride!

I'm not sure you've weighted the parameters correctly in this decision process. So I've fixed it for you! ^_^ ;)

Well OK back to reality...

Never mind chaps there's always a next time! Same goes for you @DelB

Just sitting reading and listening to the rain battering against the windows. Hope it clears up for tomorrow. Going to be a lot of puddles out there in the morning. Or maybe the blazing sunshine will dry them all up for us. Or not!

It's dry as a bone here in Newhaven! Localised showers for you.
Today was forecast a lot more rain than tomorrow. I think we should expect the odd light shower, and less wind.
At the moment I'm going with base layer, jersey, gilet, arm warmers, light rain jacket.
It'll be cold descending after the Rigg. But we'll soon warm up again when we turn left towards Garvald.
