Two years ago, after a party, I fell off my bike five times in the seven miles between Balham and Hammersmith.

Top stuff, not least because were you sober you might have got the journey done in five miles.

I'm a bit hazy on the route I took, but at the time it seemed sensible to avoid traffic lights. When in motion, the gyroscopic effect seemed to keep me upright. Gravity seemed to take over whenever I stopped, with alarming consequences. The remorse when I woke up the next day was overwhelming.
