I remember enjoying last year's race but this edition is a real snoozefest! I don't understand why they organised it this way...

A bit off topic, but was stage 4 accidentally broadcast in standard definition rather than HD? I recorded it on Freesat and the picture quality was terrible! I don’t normally watch ads but I checked them to make sure that my tech was working properly; it was - the ads were much clearer than those fuzzy cyclists.

It seems really odd that there are no bonus seconds anywhere, so most of the field (79 riders) are still on the same time after 3 stages.

And only the last two stages where there is any realistic chance of GC separation.

I was watching on GCN+, and yesterday's was just as clear as it has been.

They are using a "Count Back" system, where the finishing position of the rider at each stage is what matters for overall GC.

I am really confused as I thought stage 4 was today so hadn't been yet!

Yes, I know.

But bonus seconds would have made it more competitive, particularly if also given for the sprints.

It does mean finishing as high as possible in every stage is beneficial, but I imagine all the GC contenders will be hoping for actual gaps on the last two stages. Which does mean that today, tomorrow and Friday will almost certainly all be bunch sprints, probably with Olaf winning.

Oops, yes, stage 3!

I am convinced that there was a problem with the Freesat broadcast. I was using my expensive new TV and was horribly disappointed with how bad the picture was. Then I watched the Vuelta TT and it looked really good...

The reluctant breakaway, breakaway specialist, that keeps stating that he only get into the breakaway by accident.

Harry Tanfield is 6 feet, 2 inch and 12 stone 9lb.

Been out to the Nottingham stage today , parked at the start had a walk round lusting after the bikes . Pidcocks bike look really small next to the other riders bikes , the drop saddle to stem on Luke Rowes bike is aggressive to say be least my back would not last for long . Rode the first 7 miles through Clumber park ,watched the race through , Then to Retford to catch them again , Then to Tuxford for a cafe stop timing it great just paying on leaving and the out riders roll through so saw them 3 times . In Tuxford Luke Rowe threw his Gels in my direction so I have a secret Ineos gel in reverse when I want to go super fast must be worth 5mph extra

This must be in contention for the fullest national tour ever!! 4 stages all eon by the same sprinter must be a record!
The organisers must hold thier heads up in shame? No lakes, no peaks, no dales, no North York Moors no Snowdonia nothing dull, dull, dull!🤔😥🤔😥

I presume "fullest" was an autocorrect, should have been "flatest".
