Born by the sea and after 27 years away i have returned to live by the sea so i want to be scattered in sea after it's all over.

A distant relative of mine stipulated that his ashes should be scattered on the wicket of his local cricket ground. His son was embarrassed about having to do this, as he suspected rightly that the groundsman would not approve. So he put his dad in an emptied-out Shake'nVac container (yes really, @threebikesmcginty) and tried to walk casually up and down late one evening letting the ashes trickle out. It didn't work - which is how I know about the lumps. I think most of dad ended up in the far outfield.

I'd want to be at silly mid off.

I quite fancy having a Viking funeral so I guess my ashes would just sink into the water along with the remains of the boat.

No ashes or burial please. Take the organs you needs, let the rest of me rot and once there's nothing left of me but bone, craft me into jewellery for elephants and rhino's to wear. Bout time someone gave something back.

Can't remember who originally said it but I like the sentiment behind this quote, "just leave me laying on top. I'll not be bothered."

I've never given cremation any thought, let alone where I'd want my ashes scattered if I was cremated. My general attitude is, Once any suitable organs have been donated my body can be dumped in the bottom of some hedgerow somewhere for all I care.
