£1000+ option at Evans ... suggestions please

I told Evans I wasn't happy and they've offered me £1000 to spend towards a replacement, which I can add to, or the Ridgeback. To be fair to them, that's as good as I can expect.

You mention a CAAD8, and your clearly also happy to add to the budget. So why not push it a touch more and get the CAAD10 105?

Of course I am biased, (which bike owner isn't right?), but I also appreciate a truly great bike
If not then it'd be the CAAD8 for me.

I've just suggested the CAAD8 in the original thread! (I'm really happy with a CAAD5 so I'm sure that a CAAD8 would be great, and a CAAD10 a little bit greater than that!)

Alternatively - I'm amazed that you can get a 105 Cannondale CAAD8 for a little over £1k when I paid £550 just for my CAAD5 frame and forks!

Had a quick look at the bikes at Evans and 2 stand out for me, the Raleigh the http://www.evanscycles.com/products/raleigh/avanti-carbon-race-2011-road-bike-ec028454
and the Genisis because it is steel, a bit retro and will be a lovely ride and different from everyone else on there bling carbon bikes. It will mark you out as a serious rider though!

On the BMC I like the look of this.

I'm pretty impressed with both of totally fixed's choices though - that Genesis looks the business, whilst the Raleigh and its Ultegra also works for me.

This Cannondale CAAD 8 is £1049.99 and is mainly 105.
