During WW2, the UK sent a delegation to the USA to negotiate things like Lend Lease and other stuff.
The US negotiators would table an item on the agenda and the UK negotiators would table an item on the agenda but that one word, to "table" had opposite meanings.

'I've got your back'. 'He's got my back'.

Meant I think to say that you are looking after someone's safety, interests etc if a serious problem arises. I think it was originally used in war situations when a soldier would look out in case his comrade was attacked from behind, as well as the police doing the same thing in their line of work. It's ok being used in such situations, but nowadays it's used far too often in not quite such dangerous situations, in my opinion. The other day I heard a local election candidate say 'I've go your back'! when his oppo was about to put a leaflet through someone's door, with what sounded like a yapping terrier behind that door, waiting to tear the leaflet to pieces!

'I've got your back'. 'He's got my back'.
Or according to some American inspired action films / tv programmes; 'I've got your six'.
Distance; 'two clicks to the south' or whatever. Apparently a click is one kilometre, so for the very non metric American, seems an odd distance measure to use.
Or in the SWAT tv series, it took me a while to suss what they meant when entering a building and one would say to another 'Gimme two'. ^_^

'I have skin in this game'! 'I have a dog in this fight'! Meaning they have a substantial interest in the outcome of something. I'm not too sure about the first one, as I might've got it slightly wrong, but if it's not totally correct, it's not far off! 🤔
