12000 texts some how

Anyone clear this up. I just changed onto text anytime tarrif on o2. I've topped up 3 times last month(£10 each time, was away from computer so used more then normal) and i topped up today for my text anytime thing. Got a text about it so i checked my messaging 200 bolt on was cancelled. Thats not cancelled, but it said i have 12000 texts And i still have the same balence that i had before this.
Whats hapenned? Confused me, not complaining though, wont need to top up again this month, so saved myself some money
Its really is 12000, i sent a text and checked, it said i had 11999 texts left

when i went to china once, my brother (not knowing exactly when I was going) sent me a "good luck in China" txt, which arrived one evening when I was in the hotel... then it arrived again 10 mins later, then 10 mins later, then 10 mins later ad infinitum, till i had to turn the phone off!
