2015 Rugby World Cup **Potential spoilers**

I can see why most of Lancaster's team selections were made. Hartley and Tuilagi would have made them stronger but at what cost!?
The only decision i really didn't understand was moving his most potent attacking force, Joseph, out of position.
Ultimately i think they just have to hold their hands up and accept they were outplayed...it happens.
Edit: that was very difficult and painful for me, a scotsman, not to mock
You do know that Jonathan Davies was a RU star for years before going to RL?
Yes but I was using him as an example of a player that could be (and was) good in both codes. He went RU, RL, ARL, RU if I remember correctly

I'll give Lancaster some credit, he took over at a time when things were at a low ebb and England have certainly improved, but I'm convinced he can't take them further. The mess of selection for this world cup says it all, little point going over it more because pretty much everyone has been saying it all along anyway!
I can take losing, its part of sport, but to get things so wrong....
I don't especially blame the players and honestly believe they tried their hardest. The fact some of them shouldn't have been there in the first place is hardly their fault...

Just hope England keep their mitts off Rob Baxter  Though I don't think he'd be in serious contention, not yet anyway.

Ironically I'm probably now supporting Australia and hoping Dean Mumm lives the dream that led to him leaving Exeter. Also think they look the strongest of the tournament so far anyway, but it will be interesting to see how Ireland and France go against each other. The All Blacks will be a bit nervous of facing France in the quarters if that's how it works out, it wouldn't take a team much better than Georgia were on Friday to beat them!

The rest of the world cup will be less interesting, but I'm licking my lips at the potential prospect of watching SA v ABs in the 1st semi
Lancaster came in at critical point of English Rugby, he has done a great job, but failed on the biggest stage of all.
Being a Welshman every win now will be a bonus considering our injuries.
I placed a few krugerrand on the Boks for this tournament after the scare of the best looking team yet,, Japan.
It's a great World Cup and unfortunate for the hosts.

Exactly what I was going to say.:okay:

Having visited Cardiff twice in quick succession it was great seeing all the fans milling round in their various team kit and no one getting any hassle off anyone else. A whole different world.^_^

Yeah, as I was leaving the Millennium Stadium on Friday I realised it was quite a while before I saw any Police, and the only thing I saw them doa ll night was help with directions....
Made me wonder what the policing bill difference was like for that one night compared to say an FA Cup match....

Team players willing to blindly follow training ground instructions rather than looking up and playing what's in front of them like Cipriani, as well as Genia, Carter, sod it most of the southern hemisphere guys. Hell even the Uruguay lot have a look and a jink to see if something may work

Really?
Why Robshaw?
Why Farrell?
Why Burgess?

We are all ears... ;)

Open to correction but hasn't Robshaw not been praised previously whilst captain?
Farrell almost guarantees kicked points. I don't like him due to all the snide cheap shots he's gotten away with...till now.
Burgess ultimately was for the Wales game and Jamie Roberts, they hope to fashion their own Sonny Bill in time.
It may be Lancaster was worried about the supposed strength and quality of the pack so stuck to the English style of rugby to try and keep things tight.
Mavericks, we all amaze at their moments of brilliance and look on in horror when it goes wrong as the two go hand in hand.
Being a scot, all the above is qualified by my lack of top level sporting participation ;)
