Meanwhile the latter day proud Edward's Army played their part in a thoroughly enjoyable sporting contest yesterday - Eric Fry, the USA prop adding some comedy to warm the proceedings, with some 'old school' antics that earned him a yellow card. Lovely entertaining match - both sides returning similar statistics - just the more decisive Japan side winning the day.
One of the good forthcoming matches will be between South Africa and Argentina - for the third place play-off, 30th October.

Cowardly! If an opponent in a game did that against us, whoever saw it, would call out no. 7 (for example) just to let him know he was a marked man for the rest of the game. But only cowardly stuff: shenanigans in the front row were 'tolerated' and the concerned parties always shook hands at the final whistle and bought each other a beer (or whatever concoction was being created) in the clubhouse.

After we get pumped by Australia, I will transfer my allegiance to Ireland, assuming you beat Argentina. Unless of course Wales are still in it (it's always good to have ONE of the host nations still present)not feeling the love for Ireland in this thread, other than me, should make the semi-finals, its not beyond the realms of possibility that we might actually win it...
can you imagine how pissssed off some folks would be if we did....

Ireland vs. Argentina looks like a great match-up. I'm pretty certain about the other results (Wales, NZ, Australia all to win), but not that one.

How unsubtle. In my day the skip or pack leader would some over to me, and my lock partner, whisper the offender's number to us, and come the next ruck or maul.... they would find themselves enforced.
