I shouted "go for the corner" at the telly. But the lineout was poorly executed when it mattered - story of England's game.
Thought it was a 50/50 call, certainly not a guaranteed 3 points from there so happy enough to go for the corner, but you have to back up that decision with a good line-out. Can't remember the last time I saw a team pushed off the park from their own line-out.
As mate I was watching with said, they shouldn't have been in that position though, at 19-9 they should've closed the game out. Too much talk for months, possibly years, about discipline and having to tidy it up and they still can't actually do it it seems.
Thought both teams were pretty edgy and still reckon Lancaster got the tactics wrong, still think Slade would've been a better option in centres to help control the game and create opportunities though I'll admit May and Watson got more of the ball than I expected.... Can't see how Lancaster keeps his job if we lose to the Aussies as well.
