Here at world's end, some never went away though the majority did. Yet to see the mass return.
Numbers were much lower than previous years - I think due to storms during migration.
Hopefully we'll have House Martins nesting again on our house this year.

I think they've all gone back. Bloody weather is atrocious 
No swifts or swallows around my way yet.
As @twentysix by twentyfive says, it has been so cold, the birds are possibly staying further south were it is a bit warmer and there is food about.

Saw three swifts screaming around office buildings in Edinburgh city centre the day before yesterday, my first of the year.
Have been seeing martins and swallows since 4 weeks ago.
Heard my first cuckoo of the year the week before last.

We have had Swallows here for a few weeks now . I have seen one Swift but no House Martin's yet. There were Sand Martin's busy nesting when we went down to Hengistbury Head about a month ago .
