That was a race

Had 2 of the things that frustrate me most about modern cycling in 1 race: the overwhelming favourite heading off up the road and the worst instance of group 2 syndrome I've seen in a while.
Surprised at the lack of traffic here today. The E3 was always a top chipper on BikeRadar.
Was a favourite to watch on a Friday afternoon at work but now I'm retired: less so.
Group 2 syndrome was insane

As frustrating as it is, this is what makes cycle racing good while running is dull.
Yeah - and I quite like that the winner was the only guy who went all in (even though I'm not a true MVdP fan!)
2km to go and we still weren't sure of the likely outcome ...
500m to go and we're all totally flabbergasted 😆👍
Woken up today and I'm still absolutely furious with them. MvdP went ridiculously deep there, and was ripe for the picking.
I don't think his form was all that though, it wasn't just that they chased well, I think he's a few percent off his peak. Never seen him look so ragged on a bike. Name a polygon, he was pedaling it.
