Hi, Im after some good value for money touring tyres for the mountain bike. I currently have the original 26x2 giant tyres on but me and a mate are cycling 45 miles up to his caravan in Alston and then back the following day.

its still a mountain bike so need some nobbles on it but the bike will primarily being used on cycleways and footpaths

Schwalbe Land Cruiser fits the bill, some tread, but not so much as to slow you down.

Good value at around £12.

Conti Racekings if you get them on sale, great all round tyre. Had them on rigid 90s Cannondale for couple of years and roll nice and fast. Go with Pale Rider though if you are doing 90% roads :okay:
