What a great thing to do, are you hatching them to go on the table or are you having fresh eggs.

I have 5 chickens, and we get 5 eggs every day. I'm giving to my son, daughter, and the neighbours. They're much better than shop bought eggs

Are these layers or eaters?
My new laying hens arrive next weekend - too impatient to hatch & rear my own !

Also we start lambing next weekend (in theory if the rams done the job OK). Just put the lambing pens together

Hatching them as layers and will introduce them (seperated) to the rest of my flock once they are big enough that I don't need to keep an eye on them . Once they are at point of lay I will open the door and let the riot begin

That's a good idea, but to be honest we get that many, that we're just glad that people take them off our hands.

I thought that but the money adds up . I get 7-10 a day and selling them adds up to over £600 per year . Not to be sniffed at for nothing eh .
Having said that I still give some away to friends and family . I wouldn't charge them .
