Ah, but the diagram is of no use to our Londoner in the BMW, because BMWs are not fitted with indicators.
No but we have double-awesomeness indicators that flash on both sides when we park where the working class are not allowed (double yellows, zig-zigs etc).

I was gonna say that except with waits.

right first, crossing traffic gives way followed by everyone for themselves.
You asked me why I thought anyone sees it as a problem.
Well now, I think that's open to interpretation - I would say that the OP was enquiring, not raising a problem. I mean, we didn't get:

I ended up at this junction this morning and it caused me a real problem as I had no idea of how I should negotiate it. I mean, really, I sat there for ages and there were people hooting and calling me names and they really didn't understand the predicament I was in. This was a real problem for me and I just have to post this here in the hope that someone will unravel this problematic dilemma for me.
Instead, the OP gave us:
Who has right of way here?
And that doesn't look much like an illustration of a problem to me. Then again, that's only my perception of things, so I could be wrong.

The problem is that often it only massively favours the main route and the minor routes don't get a look in and struggle to get through.
That's actually probably the reason it worked. The main traffic is coming from the Limehouse tunnel, but they are the terminating road, so it's harder for them to move. The sheer number of cars coming from the side makes up their inferior approach.

It is also quite a complicated intersection, and the lights have a lot of phases. That made people circumspect and a bit more respectful without guidance.
As the French have no common sense, there is instead a rule - Priorité à droite :wacko:
"Give way to the right" is the rule at uncontrolled (very rare) intersections in Australia.

More junctions should be like this rather then with those crappy little roundabout jobbies. Put some stop signs on all the junctions ala in the USA and it all works very well.
I agree but Norfolk County Council's motoring rights officers road safety auditors requested a mini-roundabout instead of a 4-way give-way saying mini-roundabouts "help handle these movements while encouraging lower speeds for through traffic" :headshake:

4-way stops are difficult because the Traffic Signs Manual says the stop sign currently requires DfT approval. That's probably good because cyclists aren't currently exempt from them and it'd be annoying to stop when there's no other vehicle present.

They don't on my Xperia.

It is an option to turn Sig lines off.
Not one I've selected, though.

Signatures disappear when the window is narrower than a certain width. You can make them disappear on the desktop by resizing the window. That's why they appear in landscape mode if your screen is big enough. Obviously @mjray Xperia is not up to snuff.
Take @Markymark 's advice and get an iPhone. Then you can pretend you live in London.

FYI, I only go that way once a week (been doing so for a month - new route to my folks) and haven't really had any problems (touch wood) people have generally all negotiated it fairly well and been considerate to each other. But, I was curious if there was actually a rule as to who should have a priority. Guess some of us are hard wired to need rules :-)

London's crap.

The only benefit to global warming will be to watch it all turn into a big lake.

There, I've said it (insert smiley-type thing here)

Can you do me a favour and just write a response to this post and then I won't bother to answer it and you'll have had the last word. For some unknown reason, I get the idea that that will make you happy. I like to make people happy, so off you go. Cheers. xx
