Yeah, I've seen it a few times now but I've enjoyed it each time.

Railways? Oh yes, my Dad told me about them. I see all the disused bridges, over-grown raised embankments and railway cottages and old station houses from the time when we had a railway network around here.

That old film is my equal favourite old cycling vid, alongside the one below. All that brylcreemed hair,those plus fours and smoking pipes while cycling...happy days!

They had re-routed some trucks from the cross-channel (ferry) route to make the film, which looked like a bit of carefully-crafted PR to me. I bet the bean counters soon put an end to that little scheme though.

Leicestershire CTC organised a similar trip.cant remember the exact date

The trip was to Shropshire and I remember it was a great day out.Looking at the attire of the day makes me wonder how we managed not a hint of racing clothing.No Lycra back then .Say it quietly under pants worn under shorts.
