Unusually, it was sunny & pretty still here in Edinburgh today. Makes a nice change as it's normally still on a Monday then very windy on a Tues for my first commuting day of the week!
I find steep hills tend to shield one from the brunt of the wind & kills the gusts completely, thus going up hill is often a little bit easier than the open flat.
It's a relative term, things I consider hills here I would call mild inclines at my parents home in Devon. Out Haverhill way there's enough up n' downs to shield you enough from the wind to make a 5% incline easy compared to the flat.
