Evening all,

My everyday workhorse has front and rear dynamo lights linked to a Shimano Nexus hub.

The rear has a resistor which makes the light stay on during time spent at traffic lights etc but the rear doesn’t.

I’m looking to change the front light so it will stay on at traffic lights but don’t know which one to go for.

Any advice appreciated!

@Jamieyorky I don't have the answer, but did you mean the front doesn't?
Can you edit your OP for clarity, please?

I think it's a capacitor that stores sufficient energy to power the light for a while. Mine had a " dump " button that discharged the capacitor immediately as they don't like red lights on station platforms.

Lefty tighty. Get it righty.
I've got a Busch and Muller Lumotec IQ2 luxos U that you can have at a knock down price but I don't know if it's suitable for your hub. It does have the stand light feature.

It's brand new, I bought one and had problems with it (looking back probably my own fault with the installation which I had a lot of trouble with) this was a replacement but I never fitted it.

PM me if interested. Caveat: I'm not exactly sure where it is. I think it's in my garage somewhere.
