If I wanted to make a one off return journey from Euston to the Albert Hall would it be an easy job to do without having an oyster card and just paying a one-off each way with a credit card, I'm assuming cash is a no no?

One fixed price for the day if you tap in and out using the same debit card.

Using a debit card seems to be the norm now. Are you traveling alone? Each traveler needs to have their own debit card.

Oyster cards are now pretty much obsolete on the London transport system.
Use the same debit or credit card for all your journeys as the total daily cost will be capped. Most people use their phones as tap and go.
You can pay cash, at a window or a machine but it costs more. Buses don't take cash.
London is pretty much a cashless society.
