So what non-cycling helmets do you get to wear?

On second thoughts, no I'm not...

I get to wear one of these when I'm welding my TR7, except that the knob's on the inside (still not paging @Fnaar...)

when a stainless pipe coupling in a manufacturing plant that can be removed for cleaning gets dropped from a height it can be fatal without the Hard Hat. with the proper head protection it hurts but is generally survivable.

when I work on a roof I have to wear one as there is a risk something could fly across the roof from another area.

Once went to Immingham docks to pick up a 40ft container weighing 29 tons (I think is was) nearly wet myself when they said I had to wear a hard hat in the cab, like that was going to protect me if the chains snapped on the way down from 100ft.

Alan..
