I'm fully aware that these threads must crop up all the time, but I've been putting in my research and searching the forum but can't get my head around this and want some more experienced opinions.

I know that a budget of £300 means I'm not going to get an overall quality bike, but it's all I can afford being job-less at the moment.

I'm looking to do only road cycling, commuting in the future, but just for general fun and fitness at first (the latter has slipped over the past few years). The thought of doing some longer two/three/four day rides in the future does appeal - therefore I'm torn between out-and-out Road or Hybrid.

Any opinions on the following bikes, or suggestions? Any other questions I should be asking myself in order to make a better decision? Thanks in advance, for reading and replying. :welcome:

Hi

If it was out of those 3, I'd go for the Pinnacle Hybrid. That said for £300 if it's a road bike you want then a second hand purchase will get you a decent one. You'll struggle big time to bet a new road bike for that price.

Cheers,

On a really tight budget I would suggest that you check out is there is a bike recycling scheme in your area, as these provide a good source of refurbish bikes and you may well get a better quality of bike for your money. Then replace it when more funds are available...
