Thats an absolutely penile standard of parking.

When will the government just grasp the nettle and ban pavement parking? Consultation after survey after poll shows overwhelming support for doing so.

They did that in 1988 with section 19A of the Road Traffic Act.

Then repealed it in 1992.

Just clear of the pedestrian crossing behind, but still on the Zig-Zag lines.
You can clearly see the shadow of the second van behind it.

But they are working
workmen are allowed to park RIGHT NEXT to the place they are working!!

This is known

many years ago I lived in a cul-de-sac - rigth at the entrance
The lady opposite was havong some work done and the man parked outside her front door
i.e. directly opposite my drive

when I needed to leave I knocked on the door and he was quite happy to move it - only needed a few feet so I suggested he leave it there then I wouldn;t need to disturb him every time I had to go out
he said "I'm working from the van"
which apparently means he is allowed to park right on the corner because "he is working from his van"

naturally I
a) found reasons which meant I had to go out several times that day
b) watched him all day - he never went back to his van all day except when I asked him to move it - and he didn;t take anything back from the van after

so there you are
pavements and zig-zag lines and all that are not relevant is some bloke is "working from his van"

not sure if this also applies to women hence the single sex phrasing

still the dog was happy - she got extra walks that day!!!

The concept of removing that which they need from the van and then parking it safely and lawfully is completely alien to some of these prats.

I tried, but the police weren't interested. Parking is a civil offence, report it to the council. Council said report it to the police.

Email the photo to the PCC and ask how that is a civil matter.

There is a difference between an offence, such as this, which remains a police matter, and a non-compliance, such as contravening yellow lines or time restrictions, which have been decriminalised and are now a LA matter.
