Now Chris Froome needn't worry and to some of you more serious cyclists this will be insignificant (big word for me that  ).
As previously explained........at 68 I am getting back into cycling and never done any what I call "serious cycling".
I am trying to do longer & longer rides at the week-end and then...........if my poor sit bones allow...a 10 miler mid-week.
So........ Last Friday I enjoyed a beautiful 42 miler on the Wirral.
Today I did my normal mid-week 10 mile loop...........and this is were my personal best comes in
Now..........no trumpets please..........and no cheering (well maybe a bit) BUT..................
10 miles in 40 minutes 40 seconds
Average speed 14.5 mph (for me that is good)
Top speed attained 25.6 mph (just a short burst near the end).
I admit the weather was good and the traffic was kind but generally I was well 'appy.

Chapeau!!
As a relative youngster.. I'm 62 you know... All miles are good miles.
Isn't cycling a great way to get out, keep fit, see things that cannot be seen from a settee and challenge ones self to bigger and better personal achievements

Great stuff! My folks are slightly younger than you and do nothing physical. Ready to get into their boxes when they should be out living. Well done Dave, fantastic :okay:

Definitely.
I have seen things/places on my own door step that I didn't know existed.
I am really enjoying it.
