Darlington is my favourite ride as I get to call in at least two pie shops on the way there. I have done three Boroughbridge, Ripon and Bedale and doing five would be a breeze as one of the shops is at the end of my street and I could finish at Taylors in Darlington.

The Whitby ride was an easy one from Darlington.

Think i would stay away from that spot between York and Pocklington any pie there would leave a bitter after taste

Have you tried Elijah Allen in Hawes? Basil bakes his own pies and they are really nice.

It's on there and the only pies that they had for sale were made by Taylors in Darlington.
